snowmobiling in Quebec City

Here are a few  pics of my rides with my mini snowbike in Quebec City.

Ready for a ride at night in the street of Limoilou, Quebec City.

10km ride on the Rivière St-Charles. Because of the thin cover of snow over the ice, traction was somewhere between a few and none.

I have used and old downhill ski cutted in 2 to steer my snowbike. I have also added a steel rail in the middle of the ski for better handling.

You may see the idler and sprocket from the snowblower. There is also 2 flange bearings holding the sprocket shaft. Finnaly, a roller chain sprocket will transmit the power from the engine and a mountain bike caliper and disk will stop the snowmobile.
